What's In My Event Kit?
Hey there!
I believe that preparations are the key to throwing a successful event. During setup or even during the actual event, there is always a chance that something unforeseen comes up. This is usually where my Event Kit comes into play.
I believe it is of the utmost importance to think through different scenarios that may come up on the day of an event that might cause a “hiccup.” This way, when or if something happens, it can be easily fixed with very minimal setbacks to the celebration at hand! For this reason, I always keep my “Event Kit” with me. It is great in case some type of “emergency” comes up before, during, or after an event. That is why some planners also call it their “Emergency Kit.” No matter what you decide to call it, an event kit is one of the most important things to keep handy on the day of a wedding or event.
If you have a coordinator for the day of your event, you might be curious about what they keep in their Event Kit, especially for wedding days! If you are not working with a coordinator for the day of your wedding, you might be asking yourself “what are some things that I should have available for the day of my wedding?”
I have prepared a categorized list of the different items that I try to keep in my Event Kit at all times. It might just help spark a thought that you did not have before. You never know when a situation will present itself and you will desperately need some of these items:

Well, there you have it.. a complete list of items that I keep stocked in my Event Kit. It seems like a lot because it is.. I am EXTRA. But, I feel like I have to be. After all, it is my job to be prepared! Honestly, most of this does not ever get touched on wedding days, BUT I believe it is better to be over prepared than not have something that my couples need on the day of their wedding. If you are unable to have a coordinator or planner for your wedding day, my hope is that this list helps you to think of things that you may not have thought of before in preparing for your big day!
